British designer Richard Nicoll has designed a range of bridal dresses for Topshop. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I love the dresses, even if the floor length white and peach remind me of jellyfish, but I'm just not sure how I feel about wearing a Topshop gown for your wedding day. It's nothing to do with the price (hey, I'm Primark's number one fan and car-booting is my favourite hobby) but it's just not the same experience going down Oxford Street on a Saturday morning and getting swallowed in a changing room surrounded by school kids, as it is to having a glass of champers and trying on a white gown in a white plush carpeted bridal store with pretty music playing (I was utterly spoilt, my wedding dress was Jenny Packham and that whole experience is hard to beat.) Perhaps they will have special rooms for brides to be to try them on, like their lush personal shopping area, because these dresses are too pretty to not buy just because the changing rooms aren't bride friendly. Wish I could have my wedding again because I would definitely do a costume change half way through the night and put on the white Richard Nichol jelly fish dress. Oh wait, is it weird if I buy it anyway?? As long as I don't wear it to someone else's wedding?? I could go for a saunter to Tesco in it....

The collection is called 'Tie the Knot' (LOVE IT) and dresses will be online and in store from June 15th. Prices range from £90 to £350
